Line Skis StepUp Skis 2011

Any one have any information on these and how good they are?

I'm 6'1 intermediate skier just under 200 pounds.

Theres a good deal on them and I'm not looking for an extreme park ski, just something that is cheap and will work since all my real money is going into the ski touring/back country powder set up. This is just basically as a bonus to my quiver so I can ski the groomers/park when I want to, won't be my main ski's.

All help on these skis are appreciated and huge +KKKK to legit replies.

Also, do you think the 184cm will be too big if I am 6'1?

Oh and the last thing is is that I will be progressing fairly quickly with skiing, haven't really done any but first day skiing I managed to land 360's. (sorry triple post)

The length will be good, the only thing that worries me is the symmetrical shape of the skis. Ideally you would find some Chronics in the same size (might be a 183), as the non-symmetrical shape will perform much better on groomers but still be fun in the park.

Why would I be so worried about the symmetrical shape? Shouldn't that be better since I can beat it up a bit more and not have to worry so much about it falling apart and shit?

Basically what I'm looking for is a primarily park ski so on days or early/late season when there isn't much snow and I wanna hit up the park, or even during season I will be able to play around and have fun while hitting many of the larger jumps as Im not SUPER into rails but still want to learn.

I think that if you are looking for more of a one ski quiver which will still shred in park and free ride, i would probably go with the mastermind or the chronic. These skis are still going to kill it in the park, but will also be able to ski pow on a snowier day.

And yeah, I actually going to have a 2 ski quiver however park skis etc aren't going to be my main focus which is why I want a cheap pair. I found a fairly cheap set up of them with bindings but I don't know if i should purchase them or not now or wait it out and try to find some in a few months, maybe prices will go even lower...

This set of skis is basically my backup/won't be using as much as Im going to be skiing whistler and usually using a pair of powder/touring set up and not so much the park.

get the chronics. they rip it everywhere. and that fatter waist will make the transition from a pow setup to park a bit easier

yeah see the problem is is that i can't drop 500 or 600$ on skis and i found some step ups which are only like $300 with some bindings, as i am going to be spending most of my cash on a backcountry set up that i can't afford it to be expensive.

also why would you say those skis would fit me better instead of the step ups just out of curiosity?
