Floating Card Trick

this kid at school can make a card float between his hands, and i'm trying to figure out how he does it. there are no strings, and my best guess is static electricity or something. i searched 5 pages of google, and couldn't find an answer. you have to pay for everything. so anyone that knows, lets here it

when i went to the dr, some guy came to our table in a lobby and did some tricks. i took a cigarette and put it through my shirt (brandnew timberland one). then he took my brothers room key and flicked it. it spun in a circle right over his hands. then, he spun it hard and it went all the way around him. its just a really tiny wire thing htat is attached to your head somehow. it was real cool though.
