Anyone know a good free DVD ripper?

Going on a spring trip to Vail in about 5 days. Got a few hours on the plan and 2 in a car. That being said, I need movie! Does anyone know any free DVD rippers, that has worked for them in the past? Looking to put them on an iPad.

hmmm may not work for everybody but i use it almost daily to copy mah netflix dvds

what application is playing that? it may be that you don't have the right codecs
