Specific question about blown edge

Today, I noticed that my ski has about 2 inches of blown edge. Said skis are Salomon Twenty twelve 2011 and i have had them for one year. Anyways was wondering if it could be fixed? The spot where the edge is missing seems like a deep cut in the ski. Could I continue skiing with them, or the water will get inside the base and eventually snap the ski?

dont get the edge replaced by your shop. it will be a waste of money as it will fall out as soon as you touch another rail. I would try and square the sidewall/missing edge place with epoxy just to seal off the core so water does not rot the ski.

File or dremel the parts of the edge beside the gap, overfill with epoxy, file smooth. Then keep that ski on whatever foot puts the bad edge on the outside. I'm doing that this week on my S7s, I'll post some photos.

Is there a certain type of epoxy i need to buy for repairing the missing edge.

any high strength epoxy should work.
