Ok everybody get ready to hear about my greatest idea yet. So basically the idea of the touch patch is to be a simple 2 x 2 square piece of moldable gel. You take the patch, and plant it firmly on any given surface. Ex. Wood, Metal, even textured surfaces such as bark, or sand. The patch would copy and shift into the exact texture and feel of the object. I'm not sure if this would work in our particular dimension, but it'd worth a shot.
I was going to type out a drawn out description of why this would never work. When I made it about 5 lines in, I realized that it would be a waste to break it down for you.
I'm guessing it will retain the 'feel' of the object until you place it somewhere else? why not just carry round a swatch book of different textures that way you've got everything you need and you don't need to break the laws of physics
Aw I've got it! what if there was this gel and you put it down and it turned into a million dollars. that'd be sick. or it could change into all the medicines in the world that people need for various diseases! genius
it's impossible with the technology we have right now but, with the advancement of nano technology it is quite possible in the future. The only question is what the fuck would anyone want something like that for.
