Cinema 4d question

Alright so when Im exporting my video that I made, I want to make it 1080P in 30 frames per second in AVI. It says that it cannot do it. MIND = BLOWN. I just dont get it, and im putting it into a video in premiere pro, what do I do.. so confused right now.

why the fuck would you export in avi? thats supposed to be a lossless codec and creates huge file sizes not meant for most uses...

If your exporting to vimeo or youtube, use h.264

export frames as .TIFF and then composite your frames in after effects as a image sequence. Then export how ever you choose.

Hahahah last thing I made in cinema was 3.5 seconds long and took 43 hours 19 minutes 23 seconds to render. RIDICULOUS.

What's the program telling you when you try to export?

ha same sorta dilema...i did 4 super simple, particle layers, about 8 seconds long each took a good 4 hours to render.

but to the OP you should be able to go to your render settings and under the save tab, where it says "Format" you can change the clip from tiff or whatever it is to quicktime movie. then click the options button next to it and it will give you a drop down list for the codec and quality you want to export. then its a matter of simply clicking export and playing videogames or going skiing while it renders

Always export as .tiff images frame by frame.  If you guys need any help in there PM me.  You gotta check and make sure alot of setting are set correctly before it renders out.  Especially when using Thinking Particles.  If you use Ambient Occlusion, Meshes, Clear textures, GI, or any other settings always do a test render (very small) to make sure everything is good before you do a full one. 

Doing a tiff export allows you pause during any frame and pick back up.  I then use AE to bring in as a tiff image sequence and export.
