Sorry Chaunceyskis, I couldn't wait to make the thread.

Post up videos of your favorite pros killing it, pics of some sick spots in your town, or videos of you landing a new trick, ask about tricks, give advice on tricks, discuss/review skates, and discuss the latest news in the world of aggressive skating!

Eventually, we could even use this thread for buying, selling, and trading parts or full skates.



First off, what are your thoughts on the beginning of powerblading? Kizer has just brought the concept into play in the aggressive rollerblading game with their new frames able to hold 4 80mm wheels while still allowing soul and negative plate grinds. Check the fourth and fifth edit for some powerblading shots.

i could see haffey stop being pro soon. remz would then probably create some sort of legacy team so they could keep his name associated with the brand. Other than that they've got... nils jansons and that's basically all i can think of and I believe he's amateur at the moment.

then again being pro doesn't really mean anything any more, especially if it's not a boot company. Even being pro for boot companies doesn't mean much.

Is it just me or does it seem USD's team is completely stacked and they could take over skating soon. Like Razors and Remz will still be around but ever since they got Bambrick they just seem to keep growing. Also does anyone know the story of why Bambrick left Razors?

Josiah blee is on remz flow and he is so smooth. I skate with someone who was recently released from remz flow and he said as a company they were pretty nice to their riders. Honestly it still baffles me why morales left. It must have been a fight because his pro model skates came out after he was released so it couldn't have been something they saw coming

Oh yeah, he's super good too I forgot about him. USD might be able to do more things for their riders because of who owns them. Maybe. I'm not sure, not like skate companies do anything for their riders really. The lack of pros at comps is a sign of that, plus there's not really any super major comps.

Remz AM is pretty damn good actually, with Josiah Blee, Ryan Sibbio and Nils, remember this? , but minus Mason Richard.
They also have a token black guy who is pretty good and this crazy fucker who just won Pow-Wow

can anyone point me in the direction of a forum that could point me in the direction of getting info on good skates for a noob. I tried out some old ass k2 blades and those didn't fit well for me at all.

but you could ask here too. skate fitting is hard and you're basically gonna have to get lucky since there's not really anywhere to try stuff on most likely.

Thanks for the link and for ski boots i wear dellbello kryptons. The middle of that boot is slightly too narrow even after heat molding but i got just enough room width wise in my toes.

USD Classic thrones would probably fit you, so would SSM's or Razors cults (same boot but SSMs have some of the toe cut out), Razors SLs fit everyone so they are always a good choice but kind of expensive, same with USD carbons. Valo lights would fit, but plastic valos and USD UFS thrones might be too narrow. 1 size 10.5 jug liner not broken in

2 sets of wheels 1 stock with stock bearings and 1 murder m1 dual durameter wheels with abec 9 bearings

1 set of feather light 2 frames

2 sets of cuff latches
1 set of extra laces

I paid 380 for these from erolling a year ago and wore them for 30mi and decided skating wasn't for me make a reasonable offer and they could be yours until I can pics here they should be on my profile

Coming from xjados my main concern would be weight. I've heard that valos can be heavy and coming from the light xjados...

Anyone down to send in some clips to try and get an ns blading edit together? I'd be happy to gather the shots and edit them all together. All skill levels would be accepted as we've all been at the point when a soul grind was the dopest thing ever.

For cheap beginner skates check out rollerblade new jacks. The soul plates are big which is good for learning. The one thing you do not want to do when you start is to limit yourself to skiing tricks. You should branch out and learn all the soul tricks

ssms or genesys would be the best choice, the fattys have tiny soul plates and aren't really suited to modern skating as well as the others.

sometimes i try and see if custom skate builds would work for you guys but usually a complete skate is the best thing pricewise. I was trying to make some custom size 10 skates for you but nothing turns out as good price wise and I guess it's technically built to what I would want or recommend for someone. But that's not as big a deal if you don't skate a lot and haven't used different stuff.

another thing is stock doesn't replenish very quickly in skates and a lot of stuff is made once and that's it for that run.

I'd go with the genesys out of the ones you listed. Razors are good skates, GC's are a nice frame, I've used them before and liked them. personally if I was going to go razors, i'd go with the newer black SL's.

For those who care, I'm currently using carbon 2's modified to take a phoenix liner, VII soles, kizer fluid 4 frames, eulogy wheels, and some uhwm anti's.

Sup aggressive skaters of NS. Last year I started skating a bit on some cheap as yard sale blades with the two middle wheels removed. I loved it and I think it really helped with keeping up my skiing over the summer, so I was looking in to getting some legit aggressive blades for this year. I'm 6'0" and 140, and I can't do too much, 5s and mellowish rails are about the best I can do. I thought here would be a good place to ask for advice on what to look at rather then go blindly in to it.

Price is a key point for me. Ideally I'd like them to be $150 or under, but I don't know if that's realistic for a solid setup. The cheaper they are the better. I have no problem with off-brand names as long as they work well. I'f like something with big soul and negative plates so I can do non-cess slides, as that's all I could do before. I also have a pretty narrow foot, so if there are any brands that make narrower skates I'd love to know.

Anyways, if any of you have recommendations for me, I'd love to hear anything you have to say. Thanks for helping me out on this!

For starters with a low price point and looking for bigger soul plates check out any skates by rollerblade. I learned on a pair of solo eras and I remember the soul and negative plates being huge. For a narrower foot check out skates by valo. I've heard they have a slightly more narrow fit. An all around good skate for anyone is a razor genesys. The new 10s are coming out soon. The only skates I would avoid for a beginner are Remz (which I ride and love) and xjados
