Sorry Chaunceyskis, I couldn't wait to make the thread.

Post up videos of your favorite pros killing it, pics of some sick spots in your town, or videos of you landing a new trick, ask about tricks, give advice on tricks, discuss/review skates, and discuss the latest news in the world of aggressive skating!

Eventually, we could even use this thread for buying, selling, and trading parts or full skates.



First off, what are your thoughts on the beginning of powerblading? Kizer has just brought the concept into play in the aggressive rollerblading game with their new frames able to hold 4 80mm wheels while still allowing soul and negative plate grinds. Check the fourth and fifth edit for some powerblading shots.

Second, there is a lot of good advice on what type of skates suit you in this thread, as well as where to buy full skates/parts,(https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/615627/), all courtesy of a_pla5tic_bag

i think grey or white would be sick! Idk how set you are on the GCs.. but i would recommend trying different frames. I prefer fluids(which you can find an older pair for just as cheap/cheaper than FLT2s) and they are MUCH faster imo. A lot of people will recommend COs.. however those are mega expensive.

As soon as the Rowe's were available, i ordered some. My current wheels are like 44mm, approaching the size of my anti's - 43mm. i.e. every time i hit any slight slope my antis hit the ground and i lose traction. already fell once while just pushing, probably looked stupid too lol.

yeah i never cared about the graphic. I like the bailey one. I actually like the Rowe one too, but it doesn't matter, it probably will come off. Plus the frames obscure it all the time anyway.

itd be sick if they changed the way they do graphics. The paint they use cracks and flakes super easy, and then their awsome graphics are off in like 3 sessions....it is a shame.... awww well, i dont care as long as they are good

you can toe cut valos, the valo lights come with the toe cut, I wear a size 10 and theyre bulky as fuck.

I know you can toe cut valos. It doesn't change that they are roces in disguise with heavy parts. And the lights are wider and meant to fit normally. All valos are bulky with their skins on but if your skate isn't toe cut, you can take the skins off and they will be noticeably lighter, and smaller.

This sucks, I still haven't bought new skates, and now I can't afford them. I can't afford to do any sports now. I can't afford a bike (broke that), I can't afford a skateboard or longboard (broke my skateboard too), and I can't buy skates... that I broke. haha. Damn!

been skating tri for a couple weeks now. Its super fun! My skates dont necessarily roll faster now... but holy shit, your pushes are so much stronger(with the extra traction) making you be able to go WAYY faster and more stable. For rails you dont even notice, but if you are doing any front trick on a ledge you might.. I strongly dont recommend it to new people/people who are bad at royals, backslides, torques, and all of those because you have to bend your ankle or your wheel will grip. If you are good at those tricks then i would say give it a shot! I plan on sticking with it unless i have some horrific grip accident. I may have to find some COs though.. fluids work good enough for tri, but i would like to see how COs work since people recommend them for fllat so much.
