Sorry Chaunceyskis, I couldn't wait to make the thread.

Post up videos of your favorite pros killing it, pics of some sick spots in your town, or videos of you landing a new trick, ask about tricks, give advice on tricks, discuss/review skates, and discuss the latest news in the world of aggressive skating!

Eventually, we could even use this thread for buying, selling, and trading parts or full skates.



First off, what are your thoughts on the beginning of powerblading? Kizer has just brought the concept into play in the aggressive rollerblading game with their new frames able to hold 4 80mm wheels while still allowing soul and negative plate grinds. Check the fourth and fifth edit for some powerblading shots.

Second, there is a lot of good advice on what type of skates suit you in this thread, as well as where to buy full skates/parts,(https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/615627/), all courtesy of a_pla5tic_bag

switch isn't necessarily determined by which side you do it on, but rather the foot opposite of what you feel most comfortable doing the trick on

for example, i soul with my left foot for most tricks but i do all porn tricks, sweaties, true top souls, and most regular ao tricks with my right

and to Jponce, i just don't have enough antis and i'm getting a whole new setup soon anyways

Im looking to start skating but im really ignorant to every aspect of it. Just looking for something to do in the off season of skiing. What kind of skates should i get? i want a nice pair and nothing that will hinder me from progressing.

I know I'm going to  sound like a big fucking noob but is it okay to grind a frame without anti-rocker wheels? I picked up a pair  of skates which didn't include them ( they are not freestyle frames)

Eislers arrived! Sick skates, light as fuck and pretty supportive. Only skated for a little because the wind was awful and there was still some snow on the ground. (my house got a random dump of snow today)

So earlier in this thread I was taking about what shitty skates I had, and yesterday I was skating around my house hitting my little set up rail and stuff. Then the frame on one of my blades just pulled the bolts that held it in right out, and basically snapped off. Haha, needless to say I ate shit. I'm not that heavy or anything so I don't know why they just snapped off. I mean they were shitty but still. Oh well.

I'll probably pick up some new ones soon, just to skate around on, because even though I sucked. It was still fun to just skate around and throw little 3's off of stuff. I'm to much of a wuss to try anything hard though. Falling on cement/pavement hurts a lot more than snow that's for sure. Haha.
Anyone got any good recommendations for a cheap skate thats pretty durable but around 200 bucks? I was looking at aggressivemalls custom skates and they're pretty cheap. Let me know some good things to look for in a skate though.

Ohh alright that makes sense. Thanks for the help too, 10/10. I'll go and look at the razor genesys and valo tv3's right now. Obviously I've heard of both of them but I havn't checked prices or anything yet so I will now.

One thing about Valos and Genesys, they are both good, quality skates but valos are skinny and short, and they are made to fit smaller feet. Genesys are wide and fairly big, meant to fit a wider foot. Don't listen to the sizing advice on Amall though, it's wrong for most brands.

If people are interested in customs without having to pay extra just to swap out some colors, call rollerwarehouse. Rollerwarehouse will do complete customs for no additional cost.

Dont forget pudd slides and wonder grinds! And it does get a little confusing with certain combinations (aka an ally oop sweatstance is a kindgrind ext..).

make sure you get foot wraps. Skeletons might not come with them, I'm not sure. Dope setup however. Pics are needed when they come.

^ footwraps are a must... you may get lucky with a non xsjado shoe( i believe pumas are popular) but from my experience.. most shoes will give you weird pressure points on your heel and around the base of your foot

yes. I just checked and skeletons do not come with foot wraps. From what i've heard the damien wilson foot wraps are the best

the slip on ones? yeah my friend has them and they seem nice! although i always thought (from the pictures online) that they were neoprene.. but the material is actually suede. but idk pretty much any of the footwraps will get the job done, and i highly recommend getting a pair

ohh i see. Idk what to say about the hightop footwraps:/ i have bad ankles and the JC rowe footwraps KILLLLLEDD my ankles so bad( they were hightops). I then gave them to my friend and they killed his ankles aswell. I got the farmer mocs and the treated me great! If you have heard from others that they are good id go for it. But if you have big ankles or bone problems as i do... probably avoid them and get a low shoe.

Ahh I see. Whatever fits your foot, the mocs are comfy as hell on my feet,whereas I don't like the low tops as much because my ankles feel less supported. To each his own. I ride USD but I

If you are going to spend money on a shoe you might As well buy footwraps. I have the farmer mocs simply because they were the only footwrap available ANYWHERE in a size 12.5 still one size away from my perfect thirteen. But the footwrap makes a HUGE difference as well. I skate the path into our folf course and I just use my Nike Eric kostons and I can cruise but I don't have near as much control as I do when I wear my footwraps when I actually skate.. Long story short get footwraps.

i searched high and low for size 13 footwraps and i seriously couldn't find them anywhere and not only did i have to get a smaller size but i wanted black really bad....so thank you good sir for making me want to spend more of the money that i dont have...
