Sorry Chaunceyskis, I couldn't wait to make the thread.

Post up videos of your favorite pros killing it, pics of some sick spots in your town, or videos of you landing a new trick, ask about tricks, give advice on tricks, discuss/review skates, and discuss the latest news in the world of aggressive skating!

Eventually, we could even use this thread for buying, selling, and trading parts or full skates.



First off, what are your thoughts on the beginning of powerblading? Kizer has just brought the concept into play in the aggressive rollerblading game with their new frames able to hold 4 80mm wheels while still allowing soul and negative plate grinds. Check the fourth and fifth edit for some powerblading shots.

Second, there is a lot of good advice on what type of skates suit you in this thread, as well as where to buy full skates/parts,(https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/615627/), all courtesy of a_pla5tic_bag

Anyone have a pair of skates that are size 10 to 11, that they dont use anymore or are willing to sell? I dont care how bad of condition the boot is as long as most parts like souls,buckles,and cuffs can be replaced. I really need a skate. I dont have much cash but help me out please.

if anyones looking for a nice skate my g9s came in i recomend buying them, theyre super easy to lace up and take off, deffinitely more of a stiff skate but so nice on rails

Yup, they sold like hot cakes though, you might need to look around for them. I sold my cults and ordered custom richie eisler carbon frees with red cuffs, Eulogy JC wheels and King crow precision bearings, pictures will be posted when they arrive

10 reasons why i bought powerblade frames

1. Bad ass hills that i would much rather aggressive inline down then longboard these days
2. i can skate faster
3. i can skate on any surface and cruise heavily
4. its not my only setup
5. i can skate faster
6. transportation
7. i can skate really fast
8. i would much rather skate then run to work out (have fun doing that on tiny wheels)
9. its more fun then driving
10. I can skate really fucking fast

there's no doubt that going fast is fun, i just don't see it as any better than using anit's, freetstyle, ro flat for tricks of any sort. doing makios and fishes at mach 5 might be fun but i'll stick with an H block and two antis. I'll just use 60mm outers which is bigger than any wheel i've ever used for aggressive skates. too bad the new eulogy compound only comes in 58 max.

honestly i'm looking forward to faster and bigger gaps and like i said before...hills
i ride 59's with antis on my other setup so i will be just fine.
i was in the market for a longboard but found Stockwell 4s and some powerblade frames for cheaper
so why the hell not

i have PB frames aswell.. its fun to change it up on a random day and just bomb everything.... Its kinda like skiing, everyone has fun skipping a day of park every now and then to bomb the shit outa runs. It should be thought of the same way.... I ride anti WAYY more often though. Just skated with this new dude from another town.. He was doin cork 3s and switch cork 3s. i convinced him to go for a switch cork 7. It was probably the sickest thing ive ever seen.( this was on a spine). He also had so many steezy variations of negatives(which i found surprising because most negatives look semi awkward) It is awsome meeting new skaters.

while on the topic of riding flat... i dont know if i recommend the slimlines. I had tried trirocker and still gripped like crazy due to the deep/wide groove. I have never tried anything besides anti since then, but from what ive read Creates are great for flat and of course Kaltiks are great for flat( this is a bummer because they are both spendy frames)

today i did my first 4 set rail like 3 inches above my waist. I did a tourque but no grab. Hopefully getting some pics / vid of that rail

Both Tim Adams and Brett Dasovic( people who ACTUALLY skate flat) both skate and prefer Creates for flat. Brett used to skate kizers (slimlines fluids and elements) and he preferred the elements over slimlines for flat.. even when the element was discontinued.. and idk as i have said, i have tried slimlines.... and my opinion is that the groove is to deep and wayyy to wide for skating flat.

freestyle are awful and make your skating sloppy especially if starting on them
hblock makes you be more precise
