Dear Gear Talk, (this is my first time here, be sweet)
So, I have some rossignol axium 110 as bindings, bought end of season last year, but first season using those, so they're kinda brand new. And they are basically falling to pieces, at first, the stuff under the toes, some kind of pad (dunno how it's called) broke on the right ski, but I noticed only when I got home, so, on a fall, but dunno which one. Then the brake on the same ski broke later when I landed "perpendicular", dunno if it's clear, so here's a picture of the landing :
The whole brake broke, not only some part of it, the whole shit dislocated from the rest of the binding.
Then a few days after, when landing switch, the whole brake of the other ski broke the same way. So, I went to the shop, and this nice fella got me 2 new brakes and a pad for 40€.
I was pretty happy, I wouldn't have to run after my skis on every fall. (Actually, that's not entirely true, this one time my ski ended up at the bottom of the park after I fell and this gorgeous chick brought it back to me with a huge smile, that was nice.)
Then today, after maybe a week using those new brakes, I land switch off a medium jump, and like 0.67sec after the landing, the left ski goes mad and decides he wants to take another way. I tried skiing switch with only one ski on a good 50cm (around 2 feet) then I crashed miserably, lost the other ski, my poles, my headphones and my pride at the same time.
My buddy is waiting for me with my ski at the bottom, and, oh surprise, the brake on the left ski is gone again..
So, what the fuck? Are the bindings just not designed for park skiing, or am I doing something wrong, or is it a curse?
xoxo
