Mos Def - The New Danger

I was looking around for info on Talib's new cd and I saw that Mos def is releasing his second cd oct 12. Anyone hear anything about it. I hope its good cause balck on both sides is in my top 5 all time cd's

I heard him mention black jack johnson a few times during the live appearance. He did have a live band with him too. I personally like the black jack johnson thing a whole lot.

I just dl the album and it sounds not bad. Alot of diffrent stuff. Blues, rock, poetry and him singing. I still need a few listens to make a solid opinion.

I bought it and it's a let down. It's got one beat from one of Jay Z's old albums and one beat from Ghostface's new ablum. Fuck repeating beats like that. He has a few awesome songs, and a couple marginal ones. I personally would have been better off copying this than buying it. Esspecaily since he has better music out right now on different mixed tapes (like the RJD2 song...but whatever, I support creative artist like Mos

I also bought it and i don't think its a let down. It is more like the black jack johnson with a real band and stuff with some hip hop on there too. If your just looking for the good songs i would recomend Sunshine. theres more good songs too im not sure of the names. the one he played on late night was good it was like blues and sounded sweet its on the cd too.

my bad on the pure hip statement, i was mis informed.
I like the new album, not so much were i'll listen to it non stop, but i think its definetly a solid album.
