Cheating girlfriend.....

First off I'm 17 and a junior in high school, so I know that I have a lot of life left to live and a lot more chances with women.

 However, this is the shittiest I've possible ever felt, ever (besides family deaths).  My girlfriend of just over 4 months cheated on me.  She left her facebook up on my computer and I saw she was having a convo with her ex.....turns out they fuck all the time and shit like that.  Clicking on that convo was the turning point of the past half year of my life.  Everything went from being perfect to me feeling like I was gonna throw up.  She's been completely normal our entire relationship, and I never would've guessed that she'd do this.  I'm obviously gonna break up with her, and that's about the only resolve I can make as of now.

So my question to Newschoolers is this:  what single, precise moment in your life, whether it be big or small, changed everything?  Whether it be life-altering or just a shitty circumstance like mine.

Yea I guess, yesterday was rough I apologize for that earlier post OP.

It's not something to discuss over the internet, especially NSG, I just havent told any friends and it feels good to talk to somebody other than family.

Wow, I just typed up this thread last night in a pissed off frenzy and then went to bed.  I can definitely say that it's made me feel a lot better!  Thanks for the support guys, this is why I love newschoolers!

And I saw her after school today, and we kinda half broke up.. and I'm gonna talk to her ex soon and see if I can straighten shit out.  I just didn't have the balls to dump her, I care about her too much.  But she's lost all of my trust, so I doubt that I can stand this much longer.

my issue is I forgave her. then like today I keep finding it more and more details about it. I still like her a ton and she has been so nice to me. one older side to getting back is you get a get out of jail free card.

My exact thoughts about my girlfriend.  She's just so different from every other girl that I've dated.  She's so personable and everyone loves her. 

Of course every girl is different, so I hope to god that yours is as awesome as you say she is!

Hahaha well to be fair I had about four or five slut girlfriends.  I usually go for girls that are "trouble hot" and end up paying the price.  Oh well, pretty girl bullshit.  Besides, a girl is only really as faithful as her options anyways.  Who cares.  Fuck em.     

Thank God I'm the fuckin sherlock holmes of bullshit though.  One lie and I'm all over it.  It's as if I have a 6th sense of sniffing out shadiness and I have no tolerance for it.  Thank the lawd, I'd probably choke a bitch if I didn't catch them immediately & boot 'em and endured months of cheating like the OP.

i broke up with my ex of over 4 years. i was basically just tired of it and i didn't love her anymore. she didn't cheat on me or anything and we're on good terms now, even though we don't talk. but basically, it was the best decision i ever made. i've since then met some pretty cool girls, had some flings but mainly focusing on myself and growing myself as a person. im now hanging out with a new girl and there's something about her that brings out the best in me. i've been happier these last few months than i was for like 2 years of dating my ex. like everyone else is saying, you're only 17 and a long life ahead of you. my suggestion: keep having fun in high school then have even more fun in college. and believe me, when you meet the right girl, you'll know. and you're going to look back on this shitty circumstance and laugh at it. no worries man, you'll get through it! keep your head up!

lastly, if you're having a rough day, i highly suggest you check out the song "Hold You Head Up" by Macklemore. That song has gotten me through some pretty tough times and i guarantee you it will help get you through some rough times too.

at least you had a reason bro, try breaking up with a girl when you don't really have a good reason other than "i don't want to go out with you." my friends who have been dumped (never really been dumped myself) always say how spoiled i am, and how getting dumped is way worse, and i'm sure it would be devastating getting dumped (or cheated on) by a girl i truly care about (don't really count highschool relationships in this, sorry man, you'll learn) BUT... breaking up is seriously hard to do, and seeing a girl's face once you crush her is somethign that stays with you.

and OP, sorry to hear it man - luckily it was only 4 months and not longer.
