Replying to IF you get SHIN BANG with your FULL TILTS....
For those of you with skinny lower legs like me that don't have enough volume to have the liner wrap fit snugly around your leg without any space in front of your shins, I have the solution. Before you loop the bottom cable around and do up the others, do up the Velcro strap directly over the liner, making sure the liner is overlayed nice and snug around your lower leg. Super easy with your gloves off. Then pull the tongue back and do up everything like normal, I find it's easiest to do the middle first a little bit, then the bottom, then the top. I push down on the top of the tongue to make sure it's all snug. I don't crank my buckles or move them more than a few clicks tighter off the bat until I've worked my boots in after my first run or two. I like super tight boots and sometimes I release the buckles for the odd chair ride up for circulation/relief, even though it's a tiny chore to do them up again at the top. You get fast at it. It's just nice to to have form fitting boots that fit like a glove and are very responsive. Still, sometimes I will get mild bruising at the top but only from riding HARD all day, multiple days, without much of a break. No big deal, that's skiing, it makes you sore sometimes. SPARKNOTES: do the velcro strap up snug around the liner, which is snug around your shins, behind the tongue, before you feed the cables and buckle up.
