Are Booster straps really that good? and which type should I get?
I've heard such good reviews about Booster straps and I f'in hate the stock ones on full tilts, they're just so shitty imo, and I was wondering, are booster straps worth the money? and If so which size should I get? Expert Or advanced?(Advanced has 2 layers of elastic and expert has 3) I'm 150lbs, 5'8"
Ive always rocked advance/world cup. I like them a lot and think they help out a decent amount...Not sure about how the straps on the full tilts are but you might have to retrofit them a bit to make them work; probably not though
I've got the World Cup ones on my Hot Doggers (with the #10 flex tongue), it makes my boots, which are really comfortable, actually ski like a real boot, kinda gives you the best of both worlds. Plus, they're easier to tighten with the booster straps.
I just have the advance (didn't have world cup available) on my First Chairs. I took off my stock straps completely. I'm about 6"3, 170lbs and a very agressive skier, I'm fine with the strap. They hold me in soooo much better. Get some for sure
I was having issues with my Booster strap on my FTs slipping down to the top of the top cable while skiing, hence loosening up - I tried tightening it on the inside of the liner and didn't like the feel.
I ended up putting a couple of thin strips of skateboard grip-tape on the front at the top of the tongues, right underneath the Booster strap, and it hasn't moved around while skiing since. It works really well. If you're having issues with movement when you get a strap, try it out :)
BackcountryFreeskier.com is advertising the booster strap installment as so..
Is this correct? I just purchased boosters and installed them in place of my old full tilit strap.
I have yet to ski on them; can anyone show me the correct way of installation?
That's how I have mine. Did you add the screw in the back (you have to poke your own hole for them)? You want that screw to keep the strap in place and (more importantly) keep the spoiler attached to the boot.
