There doesnt seem to be much about this ski on the net, so I thought I'd share my experience. Today, I hit the park with the new Volkl Step. Its got tip and tail rocker but it's no noodle. Very fast and responsive, same low swing weight as Armada Alpha (I took that for a few laps just before), but has way more pop. A real feel-good ski to ride. It's a tough call between the Step and the Alpha. I'm in Japan btw.

I am possibly interested in getting these but on one condition what is the base material, is it sintered or extruded?

Thanks. I eventually found volkls updated site and it had pics of the base. Once again i think ive found a ski that has everything i want. Solid cronstruction, sandwich and sidewall lay up, race base, symmetric sidecut , lil bit of rocker and a really nice topsheet. I say once again as i looked for an age to find the right fat-ish ski for me and the blend was everything i could ever want.
All times are Eastern (-5)
