Looking for some advice on a few pairs of skis

So, I bought a pair of A-bangs for the beginning of this season, and near the end the tip broke and de-lammed. I'm looking for a new pair of skis for the end of this season/next season or two, and I'm looking for any advice or personal experiences. I ride park almost exclusively, sub-50 jumps, nothing big, 50-50 in terms of rails vs jumps. I need just an all around good park ski. It needs to be symmetrical. Some skis I've been looking at: Moment Jibs (heard some bad things about durability, not a lot, but some) On3p FR's (inb4 OMGOMG GETON3P'sOMG hivemind, give me legitimate reasons) Icelantic Danollie's (I don't have a lot of info on these, any is appreciated) Any other suggestions are appreciated. NO LINE, ARMADA, etc. I want to support a smaller company.

on3p's are always key, they're really durable and you'll have a great time on the FR, from what iv'e heard, they're super playful and snappy. Also take a look at the Fat-ypus G-butter, kinda pricey but they are really fun to ski on. dont get icelantics unless you can really afford them. As far as the moments go, they dont really have a durability problem, and by the sounds of it your not going to be doing anything to harsh with them.

TL;DR Moment Jibs Or on3p FR

dont know much anout on3p or icelantics, but i can tell you that moment durability is top notch now. i highly reccomend the jibs/team

The danollies are not so expensive, $498 new. The FR's are more expensive, the Moments are less expensive. are the FR's really that much better that I should consider paying the extra $100 for them? Or should I save some cash and get the Jibs, which are $80 less expensive. The Danollies are in the middle of the price range. Any personal experiences with these skis, positive or negative, would help a lot.

Also, a lighter ski would be nice. The afterbangs are violently heavy, and it'd be nice to have a nice, light set of skis for a change.

They claimed that the circumstances of the break and the damage itself was not sufficient cause for replacement

I ride switch quite a bit, and I definitely noticed a difference between the A-bangs (symmetrical) and my other pair of skis, ninthward urbans, which aren't symmetrical. There was a noticeable difference when I rode switch.

^^light; durable; responsive, stiff enough for jumps and rails but still playful and forgiving if you land backseat or take a jump too deep. they're not a true twin so you can take it out of the park if you're not feeling it that day. great all round freestyle ski.

I've been looking around at the different weights of some skis, and they seem to vary a lot. Line marks the A-bangs as 1930 grams, about 4.2 pounds, (per ski) Moment puts the jibs at 7.4 pounds, or 3.3-ish kilos, (combined weight of both skis, I'm assuming) ON3P says the FR's weight 1850 grams, or 4.07 pounds (per ski, again I'm assuming) Icelantic says the Danollie's are 8 pounds, or about 3.6 kilos (for both skis) That would mean the Moment's are the lightest, but that seems REALLY REALLY light for a ski. 3.7 pounds? Are they really that light? Also, based on these numbers, the A-bangs are really close in weight to all of these other skis, yet they feel SO heavy, they weigh almost as much as my 06 t-halls, and those things are pretty much bricks with bindings. Any info on this?

Well the ON3Ps and the Icelantics are both 180+ sizes and I am guessing the Moment skis you are talking about weigh closer to 8 lbs per ski in the longest length... but probably a little less since Moment doesn't add tip and tail edges and makes relatively light skis and the Jibs are skinner than the other options. Don't worry about weight since you won't notice .2 lbs... Your A bangs felt heavy because they are dead pieces of shit. Anyway I like Icelantic and ON3P and don't think you would regret buying from either company.. I have only owned Icelantics though and I believe that they make an exceptional product. The Da Nollie is a fun park ski.

kastle make a solid ski as well as companys like corupt and even though its a bigger company, salomon (salomon and atomic is the same compony)
