Why do women wear makeup?

if you're good looking, you'll look good with or without makeup
if you're ugly, makeup really won't help much, if at all.


maybe i don't understand the whole story, but i'm pretty sure the sole purpose of makeup is to look better.


thoughts?

You need to take a logic class.  All girls who wear heavy makeup say they wear "only x,y and sometimes z," but not all girls who say they wear only x, y and sometimes z wear heavy makeup. Especially on a website that has a demographic or sporty/outdoorsy women.

Ugly + makeup= I can look at you and not gag

Hot + makeup= I can look at you and pre ejaculate

eyeliner is the line around the eyes. shadow is the shading around the lids and mascara is on the lashes.

even men wear makeup when on tv...this is just a whole different story. Can you blame them? Who wants to look terrible on tv? Its not like the makeup has a negative effect on their performance in the sport so what's the harm?

yea i guess as a lifty people don't give a rats ass if i have makeup on and i usually look like a homeless ski bum so it all works out. i'm glad i don't have to look nice for work

And I never said there was anything wrong with using something to make yourself feel good. I was being condescending because their posts seemed like they were contradicting themselves.

And @ snobunny, your corrections don't really apply, Not only was it a quote, but it was intended to show the absurdity of the stance of the quoted. Being a PHL grad I have taken logic, numerous times. And am an advocate of consistency in arguments. So thank you for helping support that theme

I'm just saying my choice not to wear much makeup most days isn't for anyone and I don't just say I only wear this and not all that other makeup to make myself feel better. And I'm pretty sure Missingno is the one getting all worked up.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. Here's how I see it. If you want to wear make up, go for it. If you don't, go for that as well. I don't understand why dudes in this thread are worked up over women trying to look good. It's just silly.
