What kind of camera do you use?

im a photography major and i shoot both digital and film.

for digital i got a Nikon D40 body with a Tokina 16-55 2.8 lens

Oh the fs100 is no way too heavy, I was just making fun of zac cause at momentum he took my gldiecam for a run and he came back complaining cause of how heavy it was. What is a really heavy stepup was my hvx :)

canon vixia hfs200, not the best or whatever but it does what i need it to
also have a wide angle and tripod for it. looking to get a mic soon

I understand that, I was talking more about how I assumed that how much easier it is to fly would be more noticeable than the increased weight for something short like a park lap. I guess it just depends what you are used to

Then I have a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 lying around. It seems that adapting it to Nikon is not an option, so I might sell it. I'm also selling my Tokina 16-50.

Thinking about replacing/complementing my 50-135 with a Nikon 24-120 f/4 VR. The 35-180mm equivalent range + stabilization are tempting. Would kill for a nice, bright 24mm prime for DX.

ha yeah people seem to think that , The lenses are converted tho so i really just have 2 bodies, a grip and flash for the nikon the rest can be used on either camera so i really only have 4 lenses and the video rigs/stabilzation

You probably should have meantioned that, from your post you made it seem like you had two 11-16s and two 17-50s. Also, why are you getting an 8mm when you have the 11-16? seems like you could use that money for something else, unless you really wanted fisheye shots?

Yea my bad I was just showing what I use on each camera but I forgot to say that... I'm thinking about getting a 17-50 in both mounts just because i use that one alot and it would be nice to not have to switch it but besides that i convert the rest.

I'm still thinking about the 8mm i want it because i am shooting for a snowboard company this winter that reminds me alot of the skate style edits (Idk what else to call them) so I want to get some of the close to rail shots and shoot for the style like in some skate and board edits (high cascade, Transworld, etc). But also want to get the 11-16 because I definitely know the rokinon can get overused and i need something to do glidecam shots and from the knuckle shots.

I will most likely buy the 11-16 and hold off on the rokinon till I have more money, just like every other piece of camera gear I can only buy a piece at a time :)
