Tattoos are so stupid

I can't even stress how dumb they are. Now im not saying EVERy one is dumb and pointless because there are those out there that have some meaning.
But I see so many kids getting tattoo's that are of little stupid sayings, dates, etc and it 1. looks beyond awful
2. it pisses me off even more when they post them on facebook and everyone is like wowwww thats so awsome looks so good when in reality it is beyond retarded
3. A little tattoo hidden whatever, but a huge sleeve or some big ass tattoo that blatently shows is so stupid. Kills so much job prospect. Even if they were the smartest dude in the world its all about appearance and how you look when making impressions.

i've never understood tattooing something important to you on yourself.

like a child's birthday. If anything it makes it look like you're so stupid, you actually needed to permanently write a date in your skin in order to remember it.

Could've presented your argument better than you did. I don't have any tattoos and currently have no desire to get them, but I see some that I think look sick.

I'm all for 'em personally. The ones that are supposed to "mean something" are the ones that I usually knock the hardest. Like really? Dates? Names of deceased loved ones? Isn't there a better way to handle shit like that? If you're gunna ink yourself make it fuckin' G not somber and pussy-esque

suck it. That completely disproves EXACTLY what you said talking about sleeves.
I think it's pretty pathetic that we judge people on their tattoos rather than the type of person they are. There are plenty of people that are great people and have a ton of tattoos and there are plenty of shitty people with none.

This is a tattoo idea that I've thought of on my shoulder for years, and last summer doodled it. DNA with three things I love - summer (sun), skiing, and winter (snowflake).

I've been throwing it around a couple of places and a few of my friends who are have drawn their own tattoos, but I still can't figure out if it will look good in monochrome as I don't like bright tattoos too much or how big it should really be for all the detail to be worth it.

So yeah, I'm for tattoos and whatever people want to do with their bodies. Maybe some people like Enigma are a bit overkill, but take any single aspect of life and human capability and you'll always find people who overdo things, which usually helps drive any critic's case.

i don't have any tattoos but i have nothing against them.  I think a lot of them look cool and i would definitely get one, but i just don't think i can pull one off.

But i have two tattoos, "Carpe Diem" down both of the back of my arms. * i regret that one, only because it interfeers with placement of future tattoos.

not a fan, personally, but hey do what you gotta do to be happy. i couldn't care less. if you dig your tattoos, good on ya. i don't think i'd get any on myself though. just not my style. do i think some people go overboard? sure. but people go overboard with a lot of things. people wearing ridiculously baggy clothing can look as bad as people with a pile of hideous tattoos, but as i already mentioned, you do whatever it is you gotta do to make YOU happy.

i have to wear long sleeves to work, not that big of a deal. in the summer time, loosely woven long sleeve button up work just fine. if you really want to ruin ever getting a job, get your hands or neck tattoo'd
