Anyone else a wildcat and headed down to tuscon next year? Or is anyone else on here there. Probably a long shot due to the minimal amount of skiing is down there.
my best friend goes there and he loves it. he slays a lot of beautiful women on the reg. you will have a great time. just don't get all wrapped up into drugs because there's really nothing else to do there but get drunk party and take lots of drugs, with really hot girls. which is all fun, but it's not gonna make your GPA very pretty. fair warning.
U of A is awesome, i travel to tucson to visit family alot and it usually consists of shooting guns i cant believe they sell in this country, off roading, partying. oh and the girls aren't too bad either. good academics too.
Well I went to ASU in Tempe, and I can tell you that there is skiing in AZ. Mount lemmon is really close to Tucson. I believe its under a hour drive which isnt bad. Mount Lemmon isnt the best skiing, but its not bad, and its cheap. I haven't been there in a real long time. Az snowbowl is actually a decent mountain. Located in flagstaff az. A few hour drive from Tucson. Not too big not too small. They have a great bowl that you can hike up to hit some really nice lines. The elevation is crazy there, air gets very thin towards the top. The park isnt that good, but when the have snow its not a bad mountain by any means.
Then you have Sunrise park resort in the white mountains. This is the biggest ski area in all of Arizona, but it is also the flatest with a lot of cat tracks, and very low grades. They do have a decent park, and a pipe, so its kind of a trade off. Bottom line there is skiing in Az, and it is very very bad ass to be able to go skiing during the day and come back to palm trees, and pools after you finish skiing.
As far as u of a goes....its a good school. I would say Tucson is very much wild west redneck town, which is what detoured me from going there. Not sure what your major is...but the main reason I picked ASU over U of A, is because I didn't want to be in the middle of desert no where. I mean there literally is nothing around the out skirts of the town. I liked the city of phoenix better, gives you that city feeling, while allowing you to still enjoy all the outdoors have to offer.
so bring:
lots of condoms, my skis, my longboard, sunscreen, and something to protect me agaisnt rednecks, and bro tanks.
watch out for: stds, rednecks.
and im going for the business school there. was looking at UA vs. WSU, UA's business looked a lot better, campus was a lot nicer, and the weather is definitely a plus.
just a heads up. unless you are planning on majoring in business then don't go to ASU. eller is the business school at U of A and is just as good as ASU' program. plus U of A offers every other major/certificate/program over ASU. being so close to mexico and at huge schools such as U of A or ASU, partying and heavy drugs are going to be prevalent, in my opinion more people come out of U of A with a job and degree. my friends that have not failed/kicked out of ASU have come out with jack squat except for a trip to rehab. i am not generalizing, this is just what i have witnessed. do your research.
you're in for a hella good time man, girls down there are UNREAL hot. here's a girl from my highschool who used to party with us, she's a freshman down there this year
