I've never skied Hood before (or anywhere outside of Minnesota for that matter) but the first session is only 5 weeks before, so I can't imagine the snow can be that much different/ the park being worse.

Only 5 weeks? Thats a lot. The snow will be fine, but there will probably be more jumps duringthe earlier sessions if im not mistaken.

Pretty much always true. Although the melting means a lot less between 1 and 5 compared to 5 and 9, since you aren't losing much park or lapability during June.
