Best mountain to go in early May

Im looking to make a trip to somewhere in Colorado or Utah around May 10th.  What does everyone think are the best mountains to go to in early May?

but a-basin and loveland will probably be the only places open in CO and i would pick a-basin just for the beach.

whistler and other pacific northewest places are usually pretty good like baker and hood because of the ocean the temp changes slower but whistler is kind of low elvation wise so id say baker or hood alta snowbird are great but alta closes 15th of april because of national forest but snowbird is usually good in late spring same with brighton/solitude

when i was looking to go to chile in the summer it was actually a little cheaper, the more expensive lift tickets was balanced out by a cheaper ski and lodging package.

probably a little more now though since airline tickets went up.

Seems like we got more snow on the backside this year in lake louise at this time then we did last year and last year we were open till like may 10th so that would give you a solid 10 days of spring shredding, we had some decent pow days I was skiing about a foot on last day of the season.

Usually, May is sick for Mammoth, but this year is just terrible. There are major dirt patches out there now. A storm is supposed to come in this weekend, but don't make any plans for a ski trip here in May yet this year. Check again in April, we might be on mountain bikes in May.

Well for one, Lake Louise had a week last May where it was free skiing the whole week for anyone with a season's pass to any ski hill in North America.

A ski hill can only stay open for so long, usually in May, many hills are closed because many people don't want to ski any more. If only the locals and pass holders are skiing, they make no money. So even if it dumps 5 feet on closing day, they're probably still going to close.

Yup by that time of year its totally dead which is awesome for locals cause pow days go forever. It was weird they opend for summer gondola site seeing tours a week later could have snuck some snowblades in your pack or something and gone up skiing for the super cheap summer rate haha

Timberline, Mt. Hood. Perfect parks all through May and a spring pass for the whole month costs 110 bucks. Hard to beat.

Same goes with bachelor. Just skied 8 inches of snow today and its gonna be fun spring skiing as soon as its sunny. About the same price for a spring pass too

This. Flying out of SLC today after skiing canyons, PC and Brighton. None of them have over a 75 inch base. Usually there's about 150+ inches if I remember correctly

Mt. Bachelor and Timberline both have great parks and cheap spring passes that work until June.
