Thus far, March on Vancouver Island can be described as nothing less than mad. We've seen snow multiple times at lower elevations (which is a rare occurrence even once a year), crazy wind storms knocking out power all over, and the customary torrential downfall that March is usually associated with. The best part though is that one of the two mountains on van isle had to close down for the first time in over a decade today due to snowfall over the past 24 hours which means that tomorrow should be nothing less than remarkable. Definitely going to dedicate such an epic powder day to the memories of CR Johnson, Jamie Pierre, Sarah Burke and Nik Zoricic. I really can't say I had a good reason for posting this other than to share my excitement for what could be the best day skiing in my life. CHEERS NEWSCHOOLERS :D
