Line Afterbang

I have been looking at some line afterbangs. I like them and would like to get them. I have heard they are great on rails, no problem. But my question is, would they be ok for hitting some jumps? +k

they are good for a beginner park skier but if you are doing anything more than 15 foot jumps and small rails, i would highly suggest looking elsewhere being an afterbang owner myself. line chronics are great, and the domains sound like they would ride like the afterbangs (both very soft), but be a better quality ski. the afterbangs are very, very slow and have some durability issues but if you can find them for under $200, go for it.

Damn you auto correct! Meant to say chronics, but the after bangs much lower quality than the rest of Line's skis, invest in the chronics or the new tc skis, you will thank yourself!

If your sticking with Line, get the chronics. They are a worthy successor to my old Anthems. At least with the Chronic, you can use them outside of the park without looking like a tool struggling with the Abangs.

i would recommend afterbangs to anyone who just chills on rails but if you plan on hitting big jumps i would say look elsewhere Step-ups or Ar7's are where its at

I hire a 50 ft jump on 155 afterbangs. It was fucking sketchy but it worked

And btw I have been looking at the chroncs and they seem a little heavy for my size. (5'5"'115 lbs)

If you're concerned about weight, don't even consider the afterbangs. Get some Armadas. They are well worth the higher price. I switched from my afterbangs to ar5s and the difference is incredible.

Mastermnds at your weight would be fine, if you are a heavier skier then you could overflex them but for you they actually sound like a good bet ... I have heard about some durability issues with them though

masterminds would be good too. some people have durability issues, but my friend who is 5' 10" and 160lbs got a full season out of them, and he rides pretty damn hard.

Get k2 domains! I have them and they ride likea super playful flexy fun ski. But they are great on jumps to and and pretty light!

i have afterbangs and the only reason i dont regret buying them is they are my backup skis and have proved useful when my other skis are out of comission (like now) but if price isnt an issue id definitely say go with armada or rossignol they make amazing skis. the afterbangs are heavy as jesus they are slow and horrible on anything that isnt rails. dont go with afterbangs. trust me.

anyone who hates on afterbangs expects to much from them and lands backseat/noseheavy every hit.

They are a fun ski, lots of pop, super soft and buttery, nice turn radius, light swing weight, etc.

If you land nose heavy and tail heavy of a bigger jump you will wash out, but no shit you will wash out they are soft as shit.

Jumps and 25-30 feet are fine, anything above that you have to be confident in your landings.
Get em man, your not heavy so you will be fine.

The Aftebang is really heavy and is to soft to be doing much on jumps, if your not doing to much on rails, it will hold up quite well!

lines all around (from my experiences) have been pretty lame.....slowest bases ever.... durability wise they are pretty good(minus afterbangs.....) i highly recommend armadas if you have the choice and money. quality skis

It's a quite cheap ski with an extruded base. The afterbang can jump (just look up max hill and line  travelling circus) but it's best at rails. It's not that durable ski but what could you expect for such a low price. Another thing about them is that they are symmetrical which I like the most for pure park skis.

Its not THAT low of a price, your better off just spending 150$ more or whatever and getting a real ski.

If they had the actual pricing of skateboard decks, that would be cool.

have never tride the abang but have used allot of other skis,
193 cm 85 kg, riding mellow on jumps sw7 and 9s in medium jumps, riding really hard on rails, big swup combos on rails every day an allot of 4s on.
rossignol s4/scratch, super high performans ski, really good on jumps, mid stiff works for every thing, best ski i have ride, not supe durabel on rails if you rinding hard
line stepup 10/11, super stiff, kind of heavy for rails, fuckt up in the nose like
wölkl wall, had it as a rail ski, works fine kind of mid stiff, no problems holding up its just like other skis if you ride hard the edge will fuck up
armada thall, super nice kind of soft but stiff under foot, hold up nice, edges on the topsheet get damage kind of easy
old ar6 05 or so, mid stiff, most durabel ski i owned, lost pop after many seasson
k2 domain 10/11 topsheet gest fuckt up super fast, sidewalls in front and back fals off, edges hold upp well, super soft. good ski for the money if you nor riding hard on the rails, broke after 2 month, dont think the wood core is super good, pulld out the binding 2 times
k2 silencer 10/11, abit stiffer than domain, same durability, bur broke mine after one month only riding rails
armada ar7 same good durability as thall, but stiffer, good ski overall
hope some of you guys got some tips

1) lines are quality for the price..... but i believe other ski brand such as armada are at a higher quality(but may be more expensive)............ and no one can disagree that their bases are SLOWW

2) I used to ski lines. I havent gotten to changing my icon


i enjoyed lines but then i got a hookup on some armada ar6s and fell in love with them and then moved onto alphas which seemed even better.After these two skis there is no way i would go back to line...especially not the skateboard constructions.
