Hot doggers or drop kicks

I want to buy a full tilt boot and i either want the drop kicks or hot doggers and i dont know much about either i wear a size 12 in mens and dont know what size thad be coo if u guys cud help

I have a great idea for you! you should travel to the local ski store and get fitted for a boot because quite frankly those boots might not even fit you. If it is about boots dont ask here ask a bootfitter or onenerdykid

there is practically no difference between the hot foggers and drop kicks exempt for color and the flex/stiffness of the tounge. but get fitted before you buy anything

Neither, just go for the classics.


Hot doggers are for wannabes and drop kicks are an overpriced classic with a so-called (active foot board). its a load of shit, the footboard costs 20 bucks but the boot costs 50+ more. and the tongue for the drop kick is a 4 flex which is wayyy too flexy.

Are the classics still flexy because it says all mountain and I want my boots to really flex, thats why i want full tilts.

Other boots have a soft flex to them and I'm sure there are other boots than full tilts that fit you feet, that is if they do in the first place. Boot fitter is always the answer

To everyone saying the only difference is colour and flex:
The main difference is the liner that is in the boot.. The hot doggers have a much better liner than the drop kicks/classics. It's thicker and has a wrap around your ankle, keeping it in place.

That said, go get fitted before you buy. If your foot fits for both boots, go for the hot doggers.

yup. i have DKs and one of my friends has Hot Doggers. his liner a bit thicker than mine and has the ankle power wrap, which will make them perform better and last longer. Then again, i bought mine for less than half than he paid for his (win).

but seriously, just like everybody on NS says, before you ask this question get fitted!!!! it would be one thing if you had actually gone to the store, got fitted for both, and are asking because your feet fit both and you want to know if its worth the extra 100 bucks. but it would appear that you aren't. so get fitted. then come back.

I have the 2011/12 Hot doggers and I wear a size 11.5 shoe and size 12 boot, but due to the flex patter of the boot I ended up getting size 11.5 and it was probably the best boot decision I have ever made! I love these boots and wouldn't go any different size!
