Ok so yesterday, I landed sideways and smacked the side of my forehead on the ground. I have a red mark where I hit my head along with having a gnarly head ache, nothing worse than I've already had. Today I feel better my headache is definitely getting better, I barely feel it. Except I do feel like a throbbing head ache if I bend my head down wards or bend over. So I wanna know if its something serious, and if I should get it checked out.
Mild traumatic brain injuries usually require no treatment other than rest and over-the-counter pain relievers to treat a headache. However, a person with a mild traumatic brain injury usually needs to be monitored closely at home and with a follow-up doctor appointment for any persistent, worsening or new symptoms.
No problem. I'm all for not rushing straight to the ER but using the internet to diagnose and treat yourself is not a great idea. I'm just trying to avoid a bad outcome for someone.
