I talked to my local shop and they said that they most likely wouldn't help much. I guess its fine though because my season just ended here in wisconsin

I read it, but the guy I talked to from 4FRNT basically told me that if the skis aren't broken they can't help. Skis ain't broken.

Then what the fuck did you make this thread for? Having "problems" with your skis can mean a number of things, including but not limited to:

-excessive edge cracking
-delamination
-base wear
-inability to hold wax
-sidewall blowout
-you just plain don't like them???

Anyways, if you would be so kind as to tell us what is actually wrong with your skis, maybe we can help you out. Cheers.

top sheet rips and splinters real easy

lost all pop over season

edges didn't hold up with minimal rails. also could be from all the icy snow this year

top sheets shouldn't chip in five uses

mid season and any bit of pop from the ski was gone

I've never had to tune skis and snowboards

I'm not hating on 4FRNT. I think their skis are great. I feel that I may have gotten a "defective" pair. it happens all the time. I was just asking if anybody else has had a similar experience with this pair of skis

i think that you just dont like the skis. no skis especialy an established freestyle brand since 02 like 4Frnt will loose their pop in 1 season. also almost all skis will chip first day out... and its not a a big deal. theyre skis, dont have to look pretty to be fun etc

i have a pair of clicks, I'll admit the top sheets do chip really easily, although i've had that with every ski i've owned. Never had a problem with losing pop or edges though.

We have pretty much eliminated the topsheet chipping by moving from a sandwich construction to a cap construction on the newer Click! models.

People need to stop complaining about topsheet chipping. It does nothing to affect the ski and most of the time you can't see unless your up close. Plus, when I see guys with gnarly topsheets I just assume they slay park usually, not that the ski is a bad ski. Yes, I like my graphic to look nice too, but I'm sick of every thread mentioning topsheet chipping as an issue of quality for their ski. It's idiotic and because so many dumbass kids want their skis to look pristine for 3 years less skis are made in the better sidewall format. Sure cap has it's benefits, but I'm sure the switch was driven by so many people complaining about their topsheets as well.

Wow I didn't think my thread was ever coming back. Not only did I have a ton of topsheet chips and splinters but my edges also weren't holding on bigger jumps. Don't hate. Thanks 4FRNT. I think the new sandwhich construction is something I'll look into next year. Is it going to be on the Click and the SwitchBlade?

Clicks will be full cap construction, and the Switchblades are semi-cap. Basically sandwich construction, but we wrap the topsheet down the edge so you don't chip it with your ski. Best of both worlds, really.

For big jumps, the Clicks can be a little too soft. They are more meant for buttery, rail type stuff. The Switchblades are the best jumping ski I've ever been on.

Does that matter? No. Does it effect your skiing? No. So that's not a problem Lost pop? Good skis like 4frnts don't just "loose" pop. It's most likely your skiing. Now I just don't get this one. I've been skiing on skis with about 6 inches of edges gone under foot and the rest was about as sharp as the kid that still eats glue in 10th grade (NOT sharp). If you ski correctly. You can hold an edge. I'm not trying to rag on you. I'm sure your a pretty cool dude. But 4frnt is the best. And it is not there fault.
