Early Rise tech

I've got a question regarding early rise. I really want to get the armada halo's next season, but I like to have shorter skis. This years halo's i believe only came in size 170 and up. Does the fact that they have early rise make it feel shorter than it is?

Yes.

This is because the the length of the ski that is in contact with snow is shorter than on a traditional camber ski.

rockered skis definitely ski shorter than traditional camber skis.
