I disagree. I think the Seahawks are a young team that are just getting started. I think they'll have a hell of a season next year if no one gets injured. Your argument that they lost to the Falcons isn't that great of one because you're not saying anything concrete or specific. Broncos lost to the Ravens and they were supposedly the favorites for winning the SB.
There were a lot of missed opportunities in that game. If you think the Seahawks lost that game because they just simply aren't as good as the Falcons then we have a difference of opinion. What I saw was that the Falcons were on their A game, and the Seahawks did not play to the best of their ability and didn't capitalize on all of their opportunities.
Again- we probably just have differing opinions, but as others have said, Seattle is a young team, it is the first year for our franchise QB and several of our other stars-- give them some time to get seasoned together.
I wasn't talking about his own team on the bench, they have all of his sound clips from all of his "trash talking" and wasn't it Williams to said he wanted to "punch sherman in the face." Sherman just said go right ahead and he did!
At least Sherman isn't violent. BTW the NFL fined Williams 8k for that move. What is all this trash talking that everyone is referring to-- just the Tom Brady thing? I never hear specifics, just "talks a shit ton of trash." I watch everything like everyone else and all I can think of is Brady, Williams...?
no. I didn't say that. I don't know, do you? I'm only saying two things in my post:
1.) Williams punched sherman in the face unprovoked in the moment. Maybe it was something that Sherman said during the actual game, but at the time he got punched, sherman hadn't said shit to him, he said "helluva game boy, way to work out there" to another redskins player and the next thing you know williams is like "i want to punch you in your face." Do you or anyone else know what Sherman did to make him do that?
skip to 48 seconds:
and
2.) I'm not saying there aren't a bunch of other examples, im just trying to figure out where people are coming from- are you talking about brady/williams, or were there other big examples of exchanges?
my question is: what shit talking is it that everyone is talking about other than the Brady incident?
I understand the Brady thing as a documented time where Sherman talked shit and i could see how people would not like him because of it. However, it seems as though after that everyone was like "sherman is such a fucking piece of shit shit-talker." I'm wondering if there are like 4-5 more of these incidences that I missed, or if it's just conjecture.
no. I didn't realize you were referring to on-the-field. I consider anything said on the field part of the game.
People kept saying he was a piece of shit-- like he was an asshole or something. There's nothing mean about getting into your opponents head on the field.
I just disagree, I don't think it makes him a less classy athlete. Shit talking with a bad attitude and being mean spirited maybe, but Sherman does it in jest and just taunts to get into his opponents head. I think he's smart. I mean he does have a masters in communications, right?
We'll just agree to disagree.
I don't get this. Butt hurt is being negative and pissed off...you are the ones being negative and talking shit. We're just defending him.
Yes, I think he's a quality human being, and yes I think he is smart. Athlete or not, I don't think you get a degree and a masters degree from Stanford if you're a know-nothing, low-life, hood rat, piece of shit punk (all things said about him in this thread).
Why did you even enter this, I thought it was finally over...
