seems sketchy, especially if you get in a crash and get out of your car and the other guy sees you in ski boots, i dont have my licence yet, but i figure ill do the same when i go up to the hill, just for convenience.
i cant believe you guys are serious.. that is soo dumb. plus they're uncomfortable idk why you wouldn't want to just wear moccasins for as long as possible
If I ever got in an accident, and I saw the other driver was wearing their ski boots, I would have absolutely zero problems walking up and kicking them in the balls as hard as I could. What a stupid ass decision.
I dont do it when i drive to my local hill cuz its like 30 minutes away and there a lot of stop and go with all the traffic lights, but i do it when im leaving the hill to go get fast food and coming right back
I can't think of a single reason to do this. It's a lot more difficult to drive in ski boots. Therefore it's more dangerous, not just to you but to everyone else on the road too. It takes less than a minute to take off your boots and less than two minutes to put them back on. Don't drive in ski boots. It's fucking stupid.
I must equip them in the parking lot. There's an awesome snowboard/coffee shop right across from the hill though, so I might have a cup and bullshit a bit in the morning, put my stuff on, and drive up to the hill. That short commute is the only driving I really do in my boots.
I have zero feel of the pedals and don't know hard I'm pushing down. Last time as I pulled away from a stop sign I hit the pedal really hard and peeled out and looked like a fool.
still have yet to master the stick shift with ski boots. part of me wants to think its possible, however I'd rather not fuck my clutch learning how to.
such a bad idea. i just take off my right boot when hitting urban and stuff. but driving to and from the hill i have a tanspack i use so i just do it that way
i drive in snowboard boots all the time, sometimes its hard to downshift but other than that it doesnt bother me. ski boots seems like it would be harder though.
oh do your concrete shoes go up to the bottom of the knee prevent the majority of motion and movement in your ankle; the one ball joint that controls all braking/accelerating in your vehicle?
anyone who drives with boots on is an idiot. stick them by your heater in your car and have warm boots to put on at the hill, end of discussion.
only reason I can think of to wear boots on the way to the mountain is if you're takin a bus or something and won't have anywear to put your shoes. If you're in a car you don't have that problem in the first place
