How to do switchups on downrails...

I can do 270's off almost any downrail, but I haven't done any switchups yet.
Every time i try i just cant get my pop around, it's just weird.
How did you leard switchups on downrails?
Any advice?

scissor your skis, dig in the back edge of your front ski and pop it hard. you'll get it with some practice!

if you can do it on a flat bar youll have no problem doing it on a down rail. youll have more time in the air to switch up.

pop harder, turn your head and shoulders all the way around, lean forward more compared to a flat bar. you really do have more air time switching up a down bar rather than a flat bar. just the key is to really put your weight on your front ski.

When I swap on downrails i always land leaning too far back when I'm grinding unnatty. Should I put more weight on my front ski or back ski BEFORE the swap?

I got some today on a mellow down and I would say they are the same difficulty as on a flat bar. just don't lean back and you will get them soon enough.

Get your 270s out down then just throw them earlier.  That's how I got them.

For front switch ups i find it helps coming on slightly from the right hand side of the kicker onto the rail( if you slide right foot forward) it helps block out the rotation and makes it easier i find.

For front swaps? Typically thats what I do with blind swaps, it makes it so you're already halfway through rotation. Maybe I'll try it with front swaps though, see how it works.

haha, sorry didn't read the title properly. I don't do that for down rails just ride on's. Yeah that's what i do as well for back switch ups, defo helps on down rails.

Opposite for me. Coming on from an angle really helps me lock on. If i come on from an angle and blind swap (retarded hard on down rails) I also slide off
