The foam on the inside of my helmet separated from the outer plastic shell and I noticed that there were just a few dots of glue holding it together. Should I just glue the two pieces back together or will that sacrifice the integrity of the helmet/the protection elements of it? I could buy a new one and since the season is almost over Im not worried about that, just wondering if you guys think I can fix it and it will still be safe.
read this at first and thought you meant the foam padding. but i see, you mean the had protective foam. that happened to me on an old red trace. if i was skiing with any speed, the outer plastic shell would bounce around, detached from the foam. it was kinda sketchy and super annoying. then i bought a poc. out of curiousity, what helmet broke on you? if its a cheap or old one, maybe its time to upgrade anyway? if not, i'd say go for getting it warrentied. can't hurt
It was a Giro Revolver and I think I bought it last season or the one before. I guess I'll see what giro can do for me, otherwise im gonna go back to a Smith Holt. I had one before and really liked it but its too small now.
