ON3P Jeffrey vs Filthy Rich vs Jeronomo

Having skied all of these, i'd do Jeronimo. 96 underfoot is a great waist size for all mountain and park, and with its rocker, it'll still do the occasional pow. The Filthy is great for park, but as its designed to be dead center mounted, not the greatest for pow. Jeffrey can do powder great (check Luke Tanaka's latest edit for choker AK pow on Jeffreys), but are wide and going to be a touch harder to throw around in the park. Also, we only have a 186cm Jeffrey this year, more sizes will be made availible next year, but i'm not sure if that one size will fit you. The J-mo is the happy middle ground here, mount those about 1cm back from true center and they'll perform great for what you want.

I'm gonna assume you're really not gonna be skiing that much pow and say filthy riches.

i would say pick up the filthy rich, only because i dont really like all mountain skis.

my 171 FRs are by far the most fantastic things I have ever had the pleasure of clicking onto my feet. I live in PA, skiing almost all park, but I go out west once or twice a year, so there i will ski a mixture of park, pow, and groomers. They have a butt load of rocker, which makes it really fun (especially on rails), but its mid-flex and camber helps it hold its own on groomers. GET THEM

Yea I'd say Filthy Rich too. I just spent 2 weeks in France on mine and I spent more time riding groomers with my parents than I did in the park and they were still so much fun! So if you ride 80% park and 20% groomers I would say they are ideal.

Cant wait to get to NZ and thrash them in the park all winter.

I'm in the same boat as OP and I was also wondering what the durability is on On3p, specifically the Filthy Rich's. Also I have heard the feel better on jails than jumps so I was wondering how they do on jumps as well. +k for legit answers.

The FR is definitely a park specific ski. It holds its own in pow and around the mountain as well, but the Jeronimo is going to perform all over better, just because a wider platform is more stable.

Earlier this season I was skiing on a 186 Jeffrey for park. Still an awesome ski, I had no problems spinning it or spinning on/off things, but it definitely harder to whip around doing the urban 2 or just spinning onto smaller features than the JMO. It's crazy stable though, which I love as I'm not the best park skier, and I like really long and fat skis in general.

My current park ski is a 181 JMO, I think i'll move up to a 186 (just because I like longer skis, and I'm tall) It's a great ski, without question very fun, plenty of stability for bigger jumps and very playful. I have a much easier time getting more tech with ollies, presses and faster spins onto rails with it. It still holds edges at high speeds through manky snow, I took a bunch of groomer runs with it yesterday because the spring snow corned up and I booted out a couple times leaning into turns because you can rail so hard on it. It's such a fun ski...

FR protos from the end of last year. They do pretty well on jumps.

I'm also wondering the same thing to go FR or JMO. I ski mostly in PA and have a pair of close to center mounted Bent Chetlers so for all pow or good snow purposes I would get those out. Also I instruct sometimes during the days to make a little money and get my season pass paid for. Snow and our "hills" aren't great in PA so I find myself mostly in the park. I would probably spend some time on the ON3P's teaching little kids (4-7 year old) and I like to get out of the park and play on runs once in a while but I feel like I'm mostly in the park. I've never skiied a center mounted ski, my last two park skis have been line chronics mounted at recommended and they have skied great in the park. I'm leaning more towards the FR because I feel like I can always jump on my Bent Chetlers or old chronics if I want to shred the mountain and just have a cambered ski mounted a bit back. I know it's a long post, but any info would be helpful.

What do you like to do in the park? The Filthy is a playful park ski. It's definitely stable enough to ski around, but if you're looking for a park ski that's also ready to mash around the mountain, the JMO at 101 underfoot will be a little better. Like I said above, the JMO is my park ski.

All of the team skis on the FR as the primary park ski, but they will hop on the JMO for slower spins and bigger features, big tranny finders or super slushy park days.

I mean I don't really huck anything big, just floaty ones, threes, and fives and straight airs over bigger gaps. Nothing more than a seven usually. I just like hitting jumps switch and throwing grabs and slow floaty spins. I like sliding rails more than jumps in the park though, I'll usually pick a nice rail line over a jump line. Nothing too crazy on rails either, just 2s and 4s out and a couple switch ups in there once in a while. I do like hitting bigger features, rails and jumps, but I usually just slide a rail or straight air or 3, something I know I can do and land so I don't hurt myself haha.

they're all going to do well all over the mountain (rocker ski) but the filthy rich will be the worst out of the park, due to the fact that it is symmetrical.

The Jeronimo is wider that the FR, which is going to help you out of park.

i dont think you are big enough to ski the current size jeffery in or out of the park

i say FR, just because i like them more then the jmo personally, if you were out west that would be a different story
