Prior snowboards making skis

Apparantely, Whistler based snowboard company Prior is going to start making twin tip skiis this year. I have no other info about this. Anyone else know anything?

theres an article on em in Freeskier magazine... or a small mention at least i think. if u live in whistler we've seen em around the mountain for around 2 season as theyve been pro testing em for that long... they look pretty tight. ive never heard a complaint about their boards so im sure their skis are gonna be good.

iannick's girlfriend amy had a pair for the past two years at momentum...they look pretty sick for sure....they were a black top sheet with white sidewalls....similar shape to ar5's with a little wider tip and tail and sidecut

thanks lol... just cuz im new to the site doesnt mean im a newb :p

i think in Freeskier the picture of em was white with black logo on em. but yeah the demos i saw around town last season were black with white logo. more like the ARV in width or BCs but maybe a but wider than that im sure... theyre probably geared towards backcountry than park... remember Prior makes the best splitboards out there.

they have been making skis for a couple years, but just in handfuls. alain used to ride them quite often and amy has been on them to. they look a lot like scratch bc's in terms of construction and dimensions. prior snowboards are sick because you can choose what topsheet you want on your snowboard...that would be sick if they carried that over to skiing.

You could buy a weird semi prototype version last year. Or that's what they told me when I called them for some info.

Cool, you can choose wether you want just fiberglass at the top or glass with carbon strips (of course it's an extra $100 cdn for carbon). I'd love to get em, but it would come to $1000 cdn ($795 US) with the carbon strips, which i would want. So i'll just hold off cuz i can't afford that. But they look sweet. 95 mm waist. A ski true to my heart
