Skis already mounted

if ur ski has already been mounted that effect it at all? all responses recieve +k and i appreciate the help

Mounting a ski does not structurally damage/weaken the ski itself. However, you can never mount a ski in the same place twice, once it has been stripped, its stripped. Legally, a ski can be remounted up to 3 times, meaning it has a maximum of three sets of holes in it. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe these holes have to be at least an eighth of inch from any previously drilled holes. Depending on your boot soul length, the position and bsl the ski was previously mounted with, and your ideal mounting position, a ski that is already drilled will work just fine.

lol mine have been mounted 5 times.... they still work great. but I dont think it's illegal,it might be like not having brake on your skis but who cares...

someone who actually knows this correct me, but i believe most shops will not mount more than three times because the structural integrity of the ski and the core are compromised. if they mount more than this your ski/binding could break and fail and they don't want to be in the situation of someone hurting themself because the shop mounted them too many times.

but that's not much more than an educated guess. so someone, please jump in here and correct me.
