My local hill is closing this weekend. This is the dumbest hill ever. They open after thanks giving, and close on march 11th. They also charge like 350$ for a season pass. It's 300ft vertical hill. Biggest joke ever, because we have gotten fresh snow every day for the past week. My spring break isn't until April so I'm mad. Discuss you closing dates and frustration.
They were open on the weekend of May 10th or something around there last year. Hopefully this year is a repeat but it doesnt help when its constantly 60 fucking degrees out.
Welp, my little speedbump of a hill closed officially on March 9. Unfortunately, the last time I got to ski was the day after Valentine's Day due to shitty weather, school, and research. Here's to hoping for a bomber ass summer filled with biking, wakeboarding, and hot sluts in skimpy bikinis!
my hill says they're hoping to stay open through easter...but the way they have their park set up right now its not even worth going. in any case with the high this weekend at 20 degrees i doubt they'll make it through to next week.
seriously man my hill is way worse than that. We got less than 15 inches of snow. didn't open till december 8th. closed on like march 5th or something like that. and the snow was all man made and any snow we got always melted by the next day. The park was always icy and gapers were the only people in teh park at times. Top that
My local hill is closing next week, and the snow as shit all year just like it always is, they didn't open until December 10th and are closing on the 24th of March, to make it worse I paid $450 for my seasons pass, and there is only like 300 vertical feet, and the park is about 100 feet long in total.
Greek Peak in Marathon, NY closed today due to conditions. We never even got much of a winter around here, so I'm not surprised. Oh well, ready for summer and it gives me plenty of time to finish building my skis.
Where do you live? Theres a hill near me exactly like this that closed like 2 weeks ago. I just go to one like 2 hours away that i have a pass to. Small ski hills never run their business well and it pisses me off.
Just had my last run of the season yesterday in Whistler and it's like 20C at home right now, pretty sure my home hill closed like a week ago. Pretty bummed, especially since I lost a month due to an injury. Maybe this will be the year I finally build a summer setup....
last day for mount saint louis moonstone was today. Verrrrry lucky though, I severely overshot a channel gap and broke a wooden sign. Like, a legit one made with 2x2 wooden posts. I snapped it in two places.
all three of my local mountains are closed, and about three weeks ago they started to close at 4:30 everyday, but still charging 45 a lift ticket. i was pretty upset. ive progressed so much this year, and weve had absolutely no snow.
Today was also my last day. I put on all of my gaper shit and skied on some of the closed trails and was like shin deep in some water so it was fun... but depressing since it was the last day.
