My local hill is closing this weekend. This is the dumbest hill ever. They open after thanks giving, and close on march 11th. They also charge like 350$ for a season pass. It's 300ft vertical hill. Biggest joke ever, because we have gotten fresh snow every day for the past week. My spring break isn't until April so I'm mad. Discuss you closing dates and frustration.

i think i have two weekends left at my local hills, which sucks, im actually so jelly of you west coasters, wish i could take a trip out there soon. See you all in two years when i move out there!

why? Most westcoast resorts close earlier than eastcoast ones...

Sugarloaf was open until REALLY late april, and most resorts in the east (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, the ones that matter) are open until mid-april or longer. Still got a month or so in my season.

mine probably closes first or second weekend in april, but then ill just hit up killington, mt snow, or sugarloaf to hopefully keep my shred alive till the end of april. Ditched lax this year to keep my season going longer. gotta make the sacrifices for the things that mean the most.

I payed 540 for 250 feet of vert and a season from mid december until last sunday so consider yourself lucky man, we had a park from mid january until early march, and the features were only set up right less than half the time.

march 25 is the projected last day (decent chance it will be sooner)...opened december 18th-ish? To the person with the bonfire and stuff, that sounds like a ballin way to end the season.

dont feel too bad,
110ft verticle park/+ a few 200ft verticle runs.
$475 for pass
opened dec.27th - most likely will close before march 18th.

My hill has 180 vert, pass is $550, and is currently closed. My first day this year was the day after Christmas. They're going to try to reopen this weekend for "beach day," whatever the hell that is. Pretty sure my ski season is over unless I get up north again.

1. their probably making the season passes super high because hyland wants to have enough money to make a dry slope this summer, so stop your bitching
2. hyland is government owned, they have a set opening date and closing date no matter what the conditions are.
3. it hit 50 today in minnesota, so we will be closing earlier today.

west coast may have more snow but less people want to ski on the west during this time. East coast struggles to stay open as long as there are people still showing up to ski.
