Check it out guys! Feel like I did a pretty good job on it, so I was planning on submitting it for a small contest in my city. Heading up to Vail in April so there wil probably be even more before the may 1 submission deadline! +K for any suggestion, or ideas for the second part!
I'm not a video guy so sorry if none of my comments have to do with editing.
-Definitely take out the 720p thing.
-Use a different font and try keeping it consistent throughout the whole edit. Sometimes it's in a different colour or on a slant which looks weird.
-Spell Royal Outerwear correctly and if you do put the writing on a slant make sure you put the writing and the logo on the same angle. It might have also looked a little better if you had deleted the white background of the logo and put a border or something. Right now it looks like you just grabbed it off google images
-A lot of the shots are shaky. Use a tripod. Or at least use the shakiness to your advantage and do something artsy
-The credits were kind of neat. It's hard to tell if you did on purpose to lip sync to the song or not. You should definitely make it obvious because that would be hilarious/awesome. Take the bouncing credits off. Way too much going on and it's cheesy. Maybe if you had lined up the text so it always follows the ground or something
-The song is too overused. There are a bunch of weird songs out there that no ones using.
-There were a lot of cool tricks but too many of them got repeated. If
we're going to see the same feature we should see a variety of tricks.
It's better to have a shorter edit with only the best shots of each
trick. You also ended with a trick I had seen a few times already. You had a few other banger tricks you could've ended with.
don't make excuses if you knew that your tripod was stolen then put out a video when you get a need tripod that is your fault so don't make excuses it looks bad... I also turned off the video when I saw the 720 comment it was very childish and immature making me want to close out of the video immediately...
Try going on grooveshark and listening to their radiostations. Watch your video on mute while you skip through the songs. You'd be surprised at how contemporary you can make some of the songs sound when you play them alongside your edit. I just tried it with some random classic rock song I had never heard of and it worked so damn well.
Also I'll obviously come off as biased but you should upload your video to NS.
