that sounds like all of the track runners at my school. our baseball program sucks ass(3 wins in the past 2 years) and our track team is pretty good, so naturally we get so much hate for no other reason than the fact that there are a grand total of 3 kids on my baseball team that have any desire to win, and you cant really win baseball games with 3 good players. im not being a whiny bitch, but our track team is a bunch of assholes

Your argument is invalid. Running track isn't even a real sport. It's just for kids who couldn't play another sport because they sucked too much, took what all the other sports did for practice/training, and made it a sport so they could feel good about themselves.

haha....ummm no? I played football, basketball and ran track.

and yes of course track is the easiest but in order to be actually good at track you have to be an amazing athlete.

+ i garuntee i would dust you in a 100 or 200.

baseball is fun, I root for the Phillies when they're playing, but I can't sit down and watch a whole game on TV. I play lacrosse, and I used to play baseball but baseball just wasn't fun for me. there's a reason that Babe Ruth was one of the greatest baseball players ever, though he had horrible habits and wasn't exactly what anybody would consider to be an alpha athlete.

played for a long time, now just recreationally. 2nd base for most of it, but i moved to center field once people learned i have WHEELS and cover a ton of ground. not gonna lie, i like chasing down fly balls..

represented quebec in the little league nationals back in the day. that was my highest level of play..

yo...what? Baseball requires the most percise eye-hand coordination of any sport, which is a major part of athleticism. Track is where all the butthurt fagits go after they cut from football/ baseball/ lax in my school.

But to OP: Ive been playing 13 years and may play for Bucknell University next year. (D1 patriot league)

I can agree that baseball takes a good amount of hand-eye coordination, but certainly not the most of any sport. try catching a cross-field pass on the run in a stick, the majority of the head of which is barely wider than the ball. I'm not saying that lacrosse takes more hand-eye coordination than baseball, but rather that baseball most certainly isn't the hardest sport.

solid 40 time....senior year of football we had a guy on our team run a 4.34 scouts were there every game until the 6th game of the season when he absolutely blew up his knee and ended any chance he had.

I love how every sports thread sparks this debate on toughest sport etc....they are all tough in their own aspect.

but if you look at all the sports out there I find no sport harder to be good at then golf. In golf every thing has to be perfect from the second you start your swing, any minor flaw and your ball goes 100 yards the wrong way.

yeah every sport thread does start a debate about how one sport is better than another.

Not saying track is the best sport by any means..i took track as a joke and just do it to get tanner, hit on girls, and chill with some bros at meets...but those who say there is no athleticsim involved are idiots.

And yeah golf is a btich and i suck at it lol...but then again never but too much time into it. i have great respect for those who are really good at it.

I'm not taking anything away from track at all, I used to run track in 7th grade because my girlfriend at the time was doing it(yea, make jokes about commitment that young, I was a retard) but batting against a pitcher that throws an 85mph fastball and follows it up with a 70mph curve that you can barely pick up until it starts to break and trying to hit it as hard as you can is harder than running as fast as you can for 10-12 seconds.

Yeah but what percentage of people who label themselves athletes honestly get recruited for college much less pro ball? I consider myself an athlete, having played 3 sports through 4 years of high school, and I never timed a 40 yard dash. I'm not arguing with you I'm just saying that it seems more like a way to brag than anything, unless you actually are being recruited, which is a minuscule number of people.

In my eyes, each sport is unique in its on ways, so you can't compare them. There is no sport that is only played just because the player couldn't play another sport.
Each sport requires its own athleticism and intelligence. If you're good at a sport, good for you! And odds are, you suck at another sport, so don't be hating on that other sport just because you suck at it. And yes, not playing a sport is a reason to suck at it.
I play baseball. I suck at lacrosse because I've never played on a team. I still respect lacrosse.
I ski. I suck at snowboarding because I've never snowboarded on a mountain. I still respect snowboarding.
