How do they compare to the iridium lenses for sunny days?

Dark grey is has no glare to it and darkens everythiing

Black iridium I believe elightens the things a bit

I prefer the dark grey, the vision is extremely clear is amazing for sunny days one of my favourite oakly lens's

I've owned the dark grey lens and it's perfect for sunny days and it works in flat light as well. It's oakley's most versatile lens in my opinion.

Wen't from oakley crowbars with the dark grey lens to electric eg2s now im going back to oakley just because of that lens.

I disagree although its a great lens for sunny days its not as impressive for flat light. when I was in whistler flat light days I couldn't tell what terrain I was skiing in. Pretty scary had to buy a new lens while I as there

No.....Actually by definition the Pink VR50 would fall in to the "most versatile" category by virtue of it being 50% VLT. Dark grey is really dark, pretty much a go to lens on a sunny day, and has tons of steeze.

yes the pink lens is the shit. i have it on my purple retro oakleys and it looks absolutely sexy. the pink matches the purple well. also, as long as the sun isn't shining into the goggles, its mirrored and your eyes are hidden, adding to steeze factor. but more importantly, they work well in all conditions. i wore them last weekend when it was bluebird in the morning and then clouded up and started snowing. i could see perfectly all day. if its really bright though, you might need to squint a little, they obviously don't perform as well as a black iridium or dark grey for super bright days, and the same goes for super low light.

I agree with skitheeast it's a shitty flat light lens, for that I have HI Yellow. Dark grey works when it's cloudy (not flatlight) but its unnecessarily dark. I take them off on a cloudy day and it's like WHOA things are so much brighter than I realized.

I like the VR-28 a lot. Brighter than the dark grey lens and with more contrast and pink irid. for flat light. i have a persimmeon , but don't use it that much. Pink irid. for flat to medium light and vr 28 from medium to bright.

You must have missed it when i said "in my opinion". And what I said was from MY own experience, I haven't tried every single lens Oakley makes. And the time that I was using the lens it worked great for me in all conditions.

Actually, this year's VR50 is 41% VLT, and next year they are making it even darker (37% VLT). They seem to change it up every year lol. Even the Fire Iridium will be darker at 12% VLT.

i just got dark grey there sooweet they perform the best on sunny days out of any other lens ive used and they sstill can hold there own in flat light
