So, I honestly havent read a book cover to cover since about 8th grade. I'm now a sophomore in college. I think its time i learned how to read again. Can anyone suggest me some good adventure books? I love stuff like Jack London's call of the wild, Adv of Huck Finn, into the wild and hatchet. Looking for something along those lines, can be humorous, but i love the 'independent boy becomes a man through his wilderness adventure' theme. Thanks for the help in advance!
Also should look into some Kerouac, such as On the Road or The Dharma Bums (best ending ever). Also look into some George Orwell (1984 is a great read). I'd start with the Hitchhiker trilogy of five. Such good books, great humour.
I just thought of another book that fits your tastes. it doesn't matter if you have seen the movie, they are absolutely nothing alike except for the fact that they find a secret society on a beach. this book will definitely blow your mind
i am currently reading Game of Thrones and I love it. It's fantasy but not TOO fantasy, and full of sex, fighting, war, betrayal, hunting, stories, it's just awesome.
