Hey NS i''ve been using my moms NIkon D90 and i've been really wanting one of my own. I've ocasioanlly used my friends Canon T3i to take shits and film him and I really like it. I'm still a beginner though and want a DSLR but something that isn't crazy expensive but takes great pictures and can still record videos.

I don't know my mom just wants to find the cheapest but a solid good camera

why dont you stick with the D90 and just upgrade the lenses. you can do almost everything on them. just learn the basics with that camera. you can even do video with them i am pretty sure. just because you buy a bigger newer camera it wont make your photos any better.
