Bindings releasing early?

I have salomon z12 demo bindings and I just had the bindings adjusted for an 8 DIN because they were at 6 and pre releasing everytime I tried a 3. Is it just that the DIN is too low or is it my binding thats messed up?

I forgot to say that even at the 8 DIN its still pre releasing so idk what to do. Do i need something higher than 8 DIN or is it my binding thats messed up?

z12s are fucked. i ski on a din of 9-10  (rossi fks 15 and px 15) depending what im doing, i demoed some skis with z12s, put em on 11, they release if i leave the ground. im 170lbs

I took them to the ski shop at my mountain and they set it to what it should be. I really dont want to have to get new bindings because i might as well just get new skis. How would I be able to tell if the DIN pad is worn out?

it sounds like your forward pressure is messed up. they are a really shitty bindings it do not trust mine. what skis are they mounted on?

2009 salomon suspects. Would it even be worth getting a new pair of bindings to mount on them or how would i fix the forward pressure?

it could be a varity of things wrong with them. just take them to your shop and ask the tech. depends how thrased your skis but if you do get new bindings you can always use them on your next pair of skis also. and bring your boot into the shop also so they can take a look at the bottoms on the boots

its not the boot soles because i just got brand new boots this season. I told the people at the shop today that they were pre releasing and the changed the DIN and said they should be fine.

I just got back from the shop and they said everything on the bindings is fine including the forward pressure. So do I just have faulty bindings?

If your forward pressure is set correctly, but you still pre-releasing with a DIN range you feel comfortable in, it means you do not have the correct bindings for the type of skiing you are doing. You need something better for freeskiing.

All I'm doing are 3s on a 10 footer so I'd think they'd stay on because they don't seem to come off any other time. What kind of bindings should I get then for a reasonable price? Markers?

Demo bindings never hold as well as a standard binding. I use a Din of 11 on my STH 16's and thats good for me, however if I'm testing skis even if I set the z12 to 12, I will pre release. The z12 demos are higher off the ski, dont have any adjustabe toe and they weigh a ton.

Have a look if you can get a STH 12 driver, a px 12 or a head peak 12. Any of those will work much better for you, and as has been said before, you can just get the bindings moved onto the new skis.

The Z12s are awful, particularly if you land slightly backseat. Toe pops out every time, regardless of the DIN. I'd replace the bindings if I were you - the Look PX and Rossi Axial series (same binding, different branding) work really well if you're looking for a cheaper binding.

If those are in your price range, that woud work great. A slightly cheaper option that most people usually like could be the Look PX bindings too. I personally haven't used either of these, but they have high elasticity and people who do own them are generally pleased.
