A question to the technically inclined: Notebook Screen Resolution

So I have an HP notebook, screen resolution is 1366x768 (16:9). The display adapter is an AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250

Is there any way I can play older games in 1024x768 (4:3 aspect) so I'm not stretching the image?

I've looked completely through the AMD Vision control center, and I can't find anything

windows 7?

try updating to the full version of the driver...

i know what you're trying to do it just really depends on driver software

yeah windows 7, and what do you mean by full version?

Also, I suppose my hope is that there's some sort of app that could allow me to play my games

I got this already, it doesn't seem to have an option for game resolution. Thanks anyway, +k for the help.

Yuo can use the windows control panel to change your screen rez to match the game but it will look the exact same if you run the game in full -screen using your current resolution. There is no possible way to fix this.

Could you not just run said older game in a window instead of having it full screen so it doesn't get stretched? hit ctrl+enter while in game

or you can set the game up to start windowed by opening the properties, and in the target field add -window or -windowed or -w, see which one might work with the game, if you want it full screen just simply delete the command.
