Edge coming out on tip... Fix?

I've had this happen before, and if it's just the tip, I break it off. I see no real point in taking it to a shop and spending money on fixing the tip of your edge

looks like you could just put a ton of ptex over it to keep moisture from getting into the core. It doesn't have to look good but it'll work

^^ptex is for base repairs, nothing else ...

i'd make sure the ski is completely dry, store it inside for a day (or more) so most moisture will evaporate, then cut off the piece of edge (use strong wirecutters or a dremel tool), then gently hammer/bend the free end back into plac as good as you can and fill the removed part up with epoxy, use it royaly, let it cure 24h, then take a sharp knife and trim off the excess epoxy and that should do the trick :)

(with the same procedure you could also try bending the ripped out edge back into place but just cutting it off will make a stronger and more durable fix imho ....)

That edge is NEVER going to stay fixed.  Cut that bitch off ASAP.  A dremel or a grinder is optimal, but you can use an edge file and saw it off.  It will not have any impact on your skiing as long as it doesn't interfere with where the edge bites the snow. 

The steel edge has a little spring left in it after it's bent, so it's fighting hard to pop out like that.  Epoxy and other bonding methods aren't able to hold edge in.  Think of it this way, the original press of the ski couldn't hold up to the abuse and the edge popped out... do you think you're gonna be able to make it better than new?

Trust me, I trash my skis and I have had to do this to 8+ different ski tips/tails.  If you decide to do it this way, feel free to PM me any questions you may have.

Yeah, listen to this guy. 

A dremel is the optimal tool for this project, because you can cut the edge out, or any other ruined pieces of ski.  Then after you liberally apply epoxy, you can dremel the site smooth and be left with a really clean repair.

Take it to your local shop and see if they have edge repair scews. A lot of times you can bend that sucker back into place, then use the anchors on the edge to screw it back into your ski. 2-4 screws into the wood core, grind em down, cover with P-Tex. Should hold up the rest of the year. If you just cut it, it will only be a matter of time before it pulls out again.

this happened to me lsat weekend, my dad is like a carpenter/mechanic so he let it dry then placed the edge back in with epoxy, let it sit nd dry for 24h then trimmed off the excess epoxy

cut the part thats out off and then almost just like hammer it back in there with some epoxy on it leave it for like 24hrs and then ur fine
