Zoloft + Alcohol?

So, I am having a party tomorrow night at my house and I was wondering if I could drink on zoloft. By that time of the day it has already worn off a lot, but i feel like it is still there. Can I skip a day of my Zoloft?
(I only started 25mg a day of zoloft monday)

anything mind-altering is kind of risky during the first few weeks taking SSRI's, so I'd be careful. I take 20mg of prozac daily, and have never had problems with any drugs or alcohol while on it. however, the risk factor comes from the fact that the pill can have unpredictable and sometimes very drastic side effects, sometimes in the form of reversing the effects of the pill and making you more depressed. you'll probably be fine, but I'd be cautious.

i wouldn't in the beginning, but you're not going to die. the only reason i wouldn't is because of what people have all said about the drug, and what i've experienced. almost everybody i've talked to about it said that between the seventh and twentieth day taking it, they seemed to magically feel much, much better. i wouldn't want to risk fucking that up. i'm sure you'll be fine, though. if i remember correctly, i missed a couple of days in the first few weeks.

youll be fine. and im being serious. i take something similar everyday and drink on it from time to time. dont skip a day, those meds build on each other over time, so its best to keep taking it. life is about moderation, and goes for this as well. just keep an eye on it and be mindful. you shouldnt have any problems.

Why are you on that shit man I'd say stop taking zoloft all together it may seem like that shit helps but it's not a good way to make yourself feel better iits not natural

I take something very similiar as an SSRI and benzos and drink almost everyday so you'll be fine. had numerous doctors tell me taking an SSRI and getting drunk shouldn't fuck me up too much other than possible drowsiness, as long as i'm not feeling any side effects before drinking.

yes if you don't have any alcohol or xanax tolerance. if you don't drink lots or take xanax often you'll probably get fucked. if you're prescribed xanax anyways and are used to it, slightly better but it's still a bad idea.

I've been on many, many different psych medications for over a year now and have always been drinking while on them. Apart from easily yakking and getting drunk way quicker, nothing really seems to happen. I know its not good for me though.
Dont skip your meds. That fucks me up...

seriously?? when i used to miss a day i would have horrible withdrawal symptoms. if i didnt have my next dose by noonish, i would throw up. happened multiple times when i wasnt home.
