Both of my concussion stories involve horses.
The first time, I was at a horseshow, competeting in a jumper class. Its basically a contest to see who can get over the course of jumps fastest. My horse ended up stopping from a dead gallop in front of a big jump and I ended up flying into it. I landed on my head and got whiplash, and got right back up thinking I was okay. 20 minutes later however, I was walking around in circles completely disoriented. Then I started throwing up and then I finally blacked out.
The second concussion I got was just from riding my horse. I was working on a dressage test (no jumping) and the arena I was in was right beside the woods. Some idiot teenage boy was walking through the woods for some random reason and ended up freaking out my horse. She took off, spun and threw me into a wooden fence. I broke the fence with the force of my body and ended up cutting my back on the electric wire on the top. Then I smashed my head on the top piece of the fence and flew forward into the dirt. I don't remember much after that either hahah
all in all, I fucking hate concussions.
