So im currently in high school and im starting to look around at which colleges i'd consider applying to and i was looking at U of U. I looked into the school and everything and i know its a good school and its close to skiing but i have a question for people currently going there about the whole Mormon culture. So heres the thing, i dont think this would be an issue but my mother is currently totally against me going there because she thinks that i will be totally cut off from society because im not mormon. Crazy i know. I dont really know all the detail of mormons in SLC but understand that there is a heavy mormon influence and i dont think she realizes that there are definitely non mormon people that go to school there -- let alone skiers and even a lot of NSers. So if anyone currently going to University of Utah, or just living in SLC that can speek to the mormon situation that would be helpful
For the lazy: Looking into the University of Utah, but my mother doesn't want me to look at it because she is afraid of me living in SLC and not being mormon. If anyone could speak to this that would be great.
