What's the most durable ski I can buy?

The edges on my K2 disorderlys tore out last weekend, and I'm going to buy a new pair of sticks over the summer. I want something that will withstand casing jumps and slamming tip first into rails, I'm a bit on the aggressive side.

Any Suggestions?

I ski about 6 days a week, about 90% rails, for the past 4 season I've needed 2 or 3 pairs of skis to make it through the season...except this season...my FRs have 4 edge cracks total...with 60+ days of rails on them. My bases are pretty much pristine as well. They are worth EVERY PENNY.

Sweet, ON3P's are definitely my first option right now, although it may come down to what I can afford. What do you think of Moment Jibs/ Team? They're about a buck fifty cheaper

don't go moment's. I know someone who rock the vices and they are not very durable at all.

The extra $ is worth the edge thickness/durability alone...


Basically, spend the extra money, you won't be disappointed.

The nature of skiing rails is that you are going to destroy your skis eventually. Hitting your skis against a metal pipe isn't good for them. Regardless of what ski you buy there will be rail damage. This being said, some skis tend to last longer than others. specific qualities that indicate a more durable ski are thicker edges, and thicker, sintered bases.

Okay okay, but If I'm going to spend ^600$, how do CoreUPT, Bluehouse, and Praxis stack up, in terms of durability?

I appreciate the logic, my reasoning was somewhere along this line, but it seems like virtually all companies boast about these "quality" attributes, so I wanted some opinions.

When I say "they're worth every penny" I mean it.


My friends in Utah have told me there's a pile of completely destroyed skis on Dale Talkington's deck...and while that's just Detox, one of those friends has a pair of Coreupts and after 2 days he had 3 edge cracks (on starting to separate) and a core shot...not impressed.

I don't have really any first hand experience with Bluehouse and Praxis...but I haven't heard great things (especially about bluehouse).

While I'm sure they aren't as durable as ON3P's, K2 makes pretty bomber skis as well.

1) Thicker, harder edges (they're like twice as thick as a normal park skis edge). Beefy, sintered bases. Bamboo core. Better sidewall materials.

2) Armada is close, it's one of the more durable companies out there, but compared to ON3P, they can't really compete in durability standards.

Thanks! I live in Denmark, so it is really hard for me to buy anything else than brands like Armada, Salomon, K2, Volkl, Line and so on.
But I would definitely buy ON3P if I could get them :) But I just got AR7s with 50% off, so I won't be changing up skis for some time.
